Here are the top three stories in Lansing-East Lansing today:
- One more Michigan State University student was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, a little more than a month after the Feb. 13 shooting on the East Lansing school campus killed three students and injured five others. The fourth student to return home is described as being in fair condition. The fifth and final student still at Sparrow Health remains in critical condition. (WWMT-TV)
- Bay City local and centenarian Vera Gobeski was one of several real-life Rosie the Riveters who gathered together in Lansing to celebrate women in manufacturing as part of Michigan's annual Rosie the Riveter Day on Tuesday. Gobeski worked as a core maker for magnesium castings for 80 cents per hour during World War II when her husband Frank joined the army. (WSGW)
- Michigan State University Police reported that they have taken into custody a man reportedly carrying a knife on the downtown East Lansing university campus on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, police issued an alert warning of the man walking across Grand River and on campus near Ramp 6. East Lansing Police officers eventually found the suspect in downtown East Lansing and took him into custody. (Detroit News)
