
The Macomb County Board of Commissioners has appointed two Macomb Township residents to a new five-member Advisory Compensation Committee tasked with conducting an independent study researching the salary structures of all county-wide elected officials.
The board received 23 applications for the positions, and invited applicants to attend a full board meeting to be interviewed by commissioners.
The five individuals appointed to the volunteer committee are:

- Human resources professional Mary Rastigue, of Macomb
- Macomb County Chamber CEO Grace Shore, of Macomb
- Bruce Township official James Tignanelli
- Business owner Paul Boone, of Harrison Township
- Attorney Jacob Femminineo, Jr., of Mount Clemens
“We would like to thank all the applicants that stepped forward when given this opportunity to serve their community,” said Board of Commissioners Chair Kathy D. Vosburg, in a prepared statement.
The group will participate in at least two public meetings during the first two weeks in May to review and discuss its findings. The Board of Commissioners will then receive a report from the committee and consider its recommendation at a full board meeting scheduled for 9 a.m., May 14.
