Macomb County residents interested in learning the hot water bath canning technique of home food preservation may register for a hands-on three-hour class that will cover food safety related to canning, basics of food preservation, canning jams and jellies and freezing and drying foods.
The classes are held from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 18, Sept. 15 and Oct. 13 at the MSU Extension office, 21885 Dunham Road, Assembly Room A (near Entrance E) in Clinton Township. Registration and payment of $20 per class must be received 10 days prior to the class. Please register using our online system at http://events.anr.msu.edu/homefoodpreservation/.
