Kyle Kostenko of Chesterfield, a junior at , has been invited to perform in the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Honors Band May 12 at Western Michigan University.
“This is an incredible honor and a great accomplishment for Kyle,” said Jeremy Duby, LCN band teacher. “More than 250,000 students statewide participate in the adjudication process that results in nearly 1,000 being invited to participate in the annual three-day art spectacular.”
Kostenko is the concert master, first chair clarinet, in the wind symphony at LCN and also performs in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Wind Symphony.
