will host Future Freshmen Day on Friday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m.-noon for current eighth grade students and their parents.
The three-hour program begins in the main gym with a brief opening presentation by the administrators. After the opening, everyone will be assigned to a group and will tour the school as they visit each academic department where faculty and LHN students will offer classroom demonstrations – the science department will blow things up, the math department will show how to use technology in solving math problems, and the English, art, foreign languages, social studies, consumer ed, PE, and theology departments will highlight their academic areas.
When the classroom tours are complete, everyone will return to the gym for performances by LHN’s cheer, dance, drama, and music groups. Not only will guests be treated to a taste of academic and extracurricular high school opportunities at Lutheran North, they will also be treated to a pizza, pop, and big cookie lunch at the end of the program at noon.
