Main Library to Host Large-Type, Children's Book Sale

Thanks to an overstock of withdrawn large-type and children's books collected during the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped's recent move to the Clinton-Macomb Public Library, a special mini book sale will be held at the main branch this February.

The book sale is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 17, from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The cost of most books will be $1.

“This is a great opportunity for seniors, people with vision problems, or those who enjoy reading large type books to get a great deal,” said Mary Russo, president of the Friends of the Library, in a prepared statement. “We also have a collection of like-new children’s books available at this mini sale.”

Book sales, and other fundraising events, help the Friends support library programs such as the Music at Main concert series and summer reading program.
