1. ‘The future is here': Chippewa Valley Schools invest in humanoid robot (macombdaily.com) — Dakota High School in Macomb Township is getting a $32,700 humanoid TRON 1 robot to expand its mechatronics program, following Chippewa Valley school board approval this month. Students from both Dakota and Chippewa Valley high schools will learn to program, operate, and repair advanced robots, preparing them for fast-growing tech careers.

Macomb County men charged in paternity test scheme while allegedly avoiding child support (fox2detroit.com) — Two Macomb County men are accused of trying to cheat a court-ordered paternity test by having one man pose as the other during a DNA swab at the prosecutor’s office. Prosecutor Pete Lucido says the alleged scheme was uncovered when the child’s mother questioned the test, leading to tampering-with-evidence charges and a reminder that the men remain innocent until proven guilty.
