Macomb Township slated for state grant to develop Lucido River Park (macombdaily.com) — Macomb Township is in line for a $500,000 state grant to help build a major boardwalk at the new Paul and Annette Lucido River Park off North Avenue, improving access to the North Branch Clinton River. Township leaders say this first-phase project anchors a long-term riverfront greenway vision, preserving natural space as development grows and giving residents more places to walk, explore nature, and gather.

3. Macomb County residents pack zoning meeting to oppose proposed data center (wxyz.com) — Macomb County residents packed Washington Township Hall to challenge a proposed 312-acre “32 Mile Technical Campus” and data center near 32 Mile and M-53, raising concerns about energy use, water demand, and neighborhood impacts. The zoning board delayed any recommendation, with more debate and a key decision expected when officials reconvene in early January, potentially shaping development in northern Macomb for years.

4. Macomb County mansion ambush: 3 charged in attempted murder of businessman to return to court (clickondetroit.com) — A Macomb County businessman who was shot outside his Macomb Township home is at the center of a high-profile case now returning to 41-A District Court.
