Macomb County Sheriff's Office Searching For Hit And Run Driver That Killed Bicyclist

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating the driver that killed a 29-year-old bicyclist as he biked home from work.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A bicyclist pedaling home from his job at P.F. Chang's at Partridge Creek was struck and killed by a hit and run driver. Now, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public's help identifying the suspect.

The fatal crash happened on Nov. 5 at 1:23 a.m. Authorities say that Kevin Clay Fletcher, a 29-year-old Macomb Township resident, was in the crosswalk crossing Romeo Plank Rd. when he was struck by a vehicle, which continued on its way traveling north on Romeo Plank Rd.

According to a Macomb County Sheriff's office news release, it is believed the vehicle is a 2005-07 Jeep (possibly a Grand Cherokee) and it is "Light Khaki Metallic" in color. The vehicle would have damage to the headlight assembly on the passenger side as well as damage on the passenger side of the vehicle and the rear wheel-well.
