Last night, Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) announced that classes would be canceled today due to the deep snow and freezing temperatures that hit the region yesterday. With temperatures in the 20s and dropping to the low teens in the evenings, much of the state remains in the grip of freezing winter weather and deep accumulations of snow from yesterday’s storms.
The district announced last night that school was canceled for today, Thursday Dec 14: “MISD schools and programs will be closed on Thursday, December 14, 2017. The Educational Service Center will remain open.”
With temperatures warming slightly, and no heavy snow in the forecast for the next few days, it seems likely that school will resume tomorrow. Any further delays or cancelations will be announced on the MISD website, in addition to being relayed to dozens of local media outlets.
