Tell us how your business got started?
I became certified in 1982, and shortly after that, started my own business. I worked as a Physical therapy tech at Crittenton Hospital for 16 years, and I realized I wanted to help people even more, so I decided to go to school to become a massage therapist in which I was able do more of a therapeutic massage on the therapists' patients. From that point I decided to become self employed.
Why did you choose your location?
I've lived in Macomb for 16 years, and I have become very reputable in the area; and a lot of people in Macomb are health conscious, and they also look for alternative ways to feel better rather than always going to the doctor.
What products/services do you offer?
Besides the therapeutic massage, I also offer pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, Swedish, hot stone (with some massages), hot peppermint foot wrap, and reflexology. I also offer discounts on gift certificates and some massages.
What do you want your business to be best known for?
I want my business to be known for the concern and extra time I take with each of my clients, and know that they have gotten relief from pain before they leave my place of business.
What is your most popular service?
My therapeutic massage which consists of some Swedish massage with Myofascia release (gentle stretching and lengthening of the muscles) R.O.M., trigger point work and reflexology.
