Macomb Woman Among 5 Aspiring Nurses to Receive $2,000 Scholarships to MCC
The Metro Health Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to five Macomb Community College nursing students, $2,000 of which will benefit Lisa Ambriez, of Macomb Township.

A recent $10,000 grant from the Metro Health Foundation will make the cost of nursing school that much easier for five Macomb Community College students, including a Macomb Township woman.
Lisa Ambriez was awarded $2,000 of the grant to support her nursing education. The Metro Health Foundation has provided scholarships for MCC nursing students for the past 14 years.
"We are putting our money into something that we know we will get a big dividend on," said Theresa Sondys, MHF senior program officer, in a prepared statement. "These nurses will be providing health care for years to come. And, we know we're getting great nurses, because to be in Macomb's program, you have to be the cream of the crop."
