Officers Save Metro Detroit Woman From Burning Car: WATCH

MT. PLEASANT, MI — A Macomb County woman was rescued from a burning car after a crash Sunday night, according to police.

The single-rollover crash happened at 9:55 p.m. Sunday night at the North Mission Road roundabout in Mt. Pleasant, according to police.

Officers found the car flipped onto its side and engulfed in flames, according to police.

An officer used a hatchet to break the windshield, allowing the 22-year-old Sterling Heights woman to kick herself through the glass as officers pulled her from the burning car, according to police.
