Police Investigating Suspicious Shooting Death​ Of Macomb County Woman

While interviewing the woman's boyfriend, troopers said there were inconsistencies in what happened before the shooting.

RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, MI — Officials are investigating a suspicious death after a teenage woman was found shot dead Wednesday night in Macomb County, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers found the 18-year-old woman dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 75000 block of Mackey Road in Richmond Township, according to police.

While interviewing a 17-year-old who called police, investigators learned that he was the woman’s boyfriend, according to police.
