Rocko's Pet Depot Taking Donations for U.S. Soldier, K-9 Care Packages
The Macomb Township pet store is joining with Bark-A-Bout Pet Activity Center and Resort to collect items to fill "Miracle Boxes" for Desert Angels/Desert K-9's.

A Macomb Township pet store will be accepting donations through Nov. 6 to fill care packages for two- and four-legged American soldiers stationed overseas.
at 47202 Hayes Rd., is joining with Bark-A-Bout Pet Activity Center and Resort to collect items to fill "Miracle Boxes" for Desert Angels/Desert K-9's.
Desert Angels and Desert K-9’s are nonprofit organizations that collect personal items for U.S. soldiers and military working dogs serving overseas. The packages are named “Miracle Boxes” after PFC. Joe Miracle of Ortonville, MI, who died on July 5, 2007 of wounds sustained from enemy fire.

Community members can drop off donations at Rocko's in Macomb Township; Bark-A-Bout, at 14660 23 Mile in Shelby Township; or Pet Supplies Plus, at 64920 Van Dyke, in Washington Township. On Nov. 9, volunteers will pack and ship these items to American troops serving around the world.

Bark-A-Bout is also collecting monetary donations to supplement the cost of shipping these packages. Monetary donations can be made via paypal at www.barkabout.net. Each box costs $15 to ship.
