1. Lawsuit aiming to stop Sheetz in Rosevill on former church tossed by judge (wxyz.com) — A Macomb County judge has dismissed a lawsuit seeking to block a new Sheetz gas station on the former Sacred Heart Catholic Church property in nearby Roseville, a decision that could clear the way for demolition and redevelopment. Some residents still hope to preserve the church as a shelter, while the pastor who tried to buy and restore it plans to appeal the ruling.
   

2. Farmington Hills, Ferndale, and White Lake Selected for Park Improvement Grants (oaklandcounty115.com) — Macomb Township is in line for a $500,000 state-recommended grant to build the Lucido River Park pathway and boardwalk, part of nearly $12 million in Michigan park upgrades. The funding, still awaiting final federal approval, would expand local outdoor recreation alongside similar projects in Farmington Hills, Ferndale, White Lake, and other communities.
   

3. Woman accused of causing Hall Road pileup after fleeing assault (macombdaily.com) — Clinton Township police say a 24-year-old woman allegedly assaulted a man at an apartment complex, then minutes later crashed into seven vehicles on Hall Road, injuring herself and others. The man suffered serious but stable injuries, and township officials publicly thanked Macomb County COMTEC and Medstar Ambulance for coordinating the emergency response.
   

4. Detroit rapper Sada Baby waives preliminary exam in drug case (clickondetroit.com) — Macomb County prosecutors say Detroit rapper Sada Baby, legally Casada Sorrell, has waived his preliminary exam and will face a felony drug possession charge in Macomb County Circuit Court. Police in Sterling Heights allegedly found oxycodone pills without a prescription during a January traffic stop, and a habitual offender notice could increase any eventual sentence.
   

5. Detroit-area teen charged in carjacking at Applebee's restaurant bound over to circuit court (cbsnews.com) — Macomb County officials report that a 15-year-old accused in a violent carjacking outside a Roseville Applebee’s has waived his preliminary exam and is being sent to circuit court. The teen remains held at the Macomb County Juvenile Center on a high bond, facing multiple felony charges tied to the alleged theft and crash of a woman’s Jeep Patriot.
