• Man, 24, charged in mobile home drive-by shooting (mlive.com) — Macomb County prosecutors have charged a 24-year-old Oak Park man in connection with shots fired into an occupied mobile home in Shelby Township, where no one was hurt. He faces multiple serious felony counts, a $1 million bond, and January court dates in 41A District Court as the prosecutor vows close scrutiny of the case.
   

• Ann Arbor man killed in Clinton Township crash during snowstorm (mlive.com) — A deadly multi-vehicle crash on Metropolitan Parkway in Clinton Township, Macomb County, killed a 27-year-old Ann Arbor man during Monday’s snowstorm. Police say a van rear-ended a Mustang at a red light, pushing it into another vehicle, and are still investigating while asking witnesses to contact Clinton Township police.
   

• Wayne County Drivers Save $539 Per Year Following Michigan Insurance Reform (wrif.com) — Macomb County drivers are saving about $420 a year on car insurance under Michigan’s 2019 no-fault reforms, less than Wayne and Oakland counties but still a meaningful break for local budgets. The law let drivers choose lower personal injury protection, banned ZIP code and credit-based pricing, and drew dozens of new insurers to the state, though some critics worry about accident victims’ access to care.
