A macomb Township woman faces murder charges after allegedly shooting her husband to death Wednesday.
Julie Kay Chimelak, 61, faces three felony counts, including second-degree murder and manslaughter, after a female caller told police she had shot her husband by accident, according to a report in the Detroit News.
When officers arrived at the home Ronald George Chimelak, 75, was lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest. The suspect was performing CPR when officers arrived at the home in the 20200 block of Nicol Creek in Macomb Township.
Investigators found a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver in the bedroom.
The suspect is scheduled for arraignment later today in 41A District Court.
