Body Of Missing Walled Lake Swimmer Found: Sheriff
Officials said the man jumped from a pontoon boat and was swimming with two friends Wednesday night when thunderstorms moved into the area.
WALLED LAKE, MI — Officials found the body of a swimmer who went missing in Walled Lake during a thunderstorm Wednesday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Adam Milacki, 36, from Walled Lake, was found dead Friday evening in about 30 feet of water roughly 500 feet from shore by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, officials said.
Milacki jumped off a pontoon boat and was swimming with two friends late Wednesday/early Thursday when strong thunderstorms moved into the area, officials said.

The two friends made it back to the pontoon boat, but then lost sight of Milacki and notified Walled Lake police, officials said.
Dive teams began searching the lake at roughly 1:15 a.m. Thursday, before the thunderstorms forced them to call off the search, officials said.

Dive teams initially struggled with the search because the friends were not able to give crews an exact location where they were swimming or where Milacki was last seen, officials said.
Crews searched the lake all Thursday before more thunderstorms moved into the area and disrupted the search efforts, officials said.
Crews resumed the search Friday and found Milacki's body at roughly 7 p.m. Friday.
Officials were still investigating the matter and an autopsy was planned for Saturday.
