Crime Report: Novi Woman Drinks Stolen Wine While She Shops

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Fenton Police received a complaint from security at noon on Oct. 16 about a woman allegedly consuming miniature bottles of wine while she was shopping.

A Walmart security official told police they had observed the woman consuming approximately 10 of the small bottles when she entered the check out line and paid for other items, but not the wine.

Chief Rick Aro said police responded and the woman told police she had been recently released from an alcohol treatment center.
