Metro Detroit Man Found Dead After 'Violent Attack' Inside Home On New Year's Eve: Police

MILFORD, MI — A man was found dead inside an Oakland County home on New Year's Eve, according to police.

Officers found the 26-year-old man dead inside a Milford home in the 800 block of East Summit Street at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Investigators did not reveal a cause of death, but said the man's injuries were "consistent with a violent attack." They were called to the home after the man's girlfriend couldn't reach him for some time.

Police said a 29-year-old Sterling Heights man has been arrested in connection with the crime. He was placed in the Oakland County Jail pending charges.

Investigators believe the two men knew each other and that this was not a random attack.
