Living At Fox Run Is Money Well Spent
Residents of Erickson Senior Living community in Novi have the freedom to budget with confidence

When Jill Todt and Dennis Cross finished helping Jill's mom, Jane, research continuing care retirement communities, they all had the same favorite in mind: Fox Run, an Erickson Senior Living community in Novi, Mich.
Jane knew it was the place for her after participating in the Live the Life program, which allowed her to stay at Fox Run overnight in a furnished guest suite and test-drive the vibrant lifestyle.
"In fact, she signed up to live there before she even left," recalls Dennis, who was impressed by the maintenance-free residences and the array of activities and amenities on campus. "It's a really good value."

"I was really sold on this place," adds Jill.
While the point was to help Jane, the couple loved Fox Run so much that they decided to move to the community themselves. Now, thanks to the inclusive monthly service package, they're able to manage their budget with confidence and enjoy their retirement!

Predictable expenses
Fox Run's monthly service package bundles the costs of most utilities; a meal plan at on-site restaurants; maintenance, including repair and replacement of appliances; access to amenities; regularly scheduled transportation; and trash and recycling removal into one predictable bill.
Dennis notes, "You're not paying a power bill or homeowner's insurance," which can vary over time. "It really makes economic sense. And there's that convenience of writing one check. You don't have to keep track of multiple accounts."
He also appreciates that tasks like mowing the lawn and shoveling snow are no longer on his to-do list.
"I don't work myself to exhaustion around here," says Dennis, relieved that he can take care of his plants on their patio and just enjoy everything else.
So much to gain
Without the responsibility of maintenance and juggling bills, Jill and Dennis find that they have more free time to pursue their hobbies and interests.
Jill has tried almost all of the exercise classes offered at the community's multiple fitness studios and aquatics center. She takes a water aerobics class every week, but she especially likes line dancing and cardio drumming.
Dennis hits the gym four or five times a week, makes sure to walk the perimeter of the community a couple of times a day, and attends astronomy club meetings. Together, they play euchre both on and off campus, attend history club meetings, and are members of the birder's club.
Most nights, Jill and Dennis meet friends or neighbors at an on-campus restaurant for dinner and conversation. Sometimes, they'll attend a movie screening together after.
"We've been doing that most Saturday nights, and it's been a lot of fun!" Jill says.
Dennis adds, "We've expanded our social circle quite a bit. It's easy to meet people and make friends here."
Value that lasts
"By continuously evaluating and investing in our services and amenities, we ensure a dynamic, engaging future for all of our residents," says Financial Director Greg Meehan. This forward-thinking approach not only enhances residents' quality of life but also ensures the long-term vitality of the entire community.
Recently, Belmont Clubhouse was renovated and added a new restaurant. In the Ascot Clubhouse, the medical center, locker rooms, and fitness equipment were updated.
"Next on the list is reimagining the dining experience in the Ascot Clubhouse," explains Meehan. "Every new generation will have different desires for senior living. Fox Run--and every Erickson Senior Living community--is uniquely positioned to respond to those changing needs, now and in the future."
Peace of mind
Most of all, Jill and Dennis appreciate the peace of mind that comes from knowing they have a Home for Life.*
