Metro Detroit Man Killed In Snowmobile Crash: Sheriff

Officials said the man was among a group of people snowmobiling on a northern Michigan trail where he crashed.

EMMET COUNTY, MI — A metro Detroit man was killed in a snowmobile crash Tuesday night in northern Michigan, according to the Emmet County Sheriff's Office.

Steven Davis of Novi was among a group of people snowmobiling on Trail Number 7 in Carp Lake Township at 9:36 p.m. Tuesday when he went missing, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials found his body a few hours later at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators believe Davis left the trail and crashed. Officials were still looking into what led up to the crash.
