Novi Bowling Teams Compete in Oakland County Championships

The varsity girls lost in the first round, and the boys team did not qualify.

On Saturday the Novi High School girls varsity bowling team competed in the Girls Oakland County Championship at Fairlane Bowl in Madision Heights. Novi girls shot three games and scored four bakers of 2928 and qualified as 14th for the two baker roll off. Novi lost to Oxford in the first round 352-287. Leaders for Novi with three regular game totals were Sara Schulz, 591, and Jessie Snider, 502.

On Sunday the boys team competed in the Boys Oakland County Championship at Thunderbird Lanes in Troy. Novi boys started with a strong first game of 970, but were unable to keep the pace and failed to qualify. Kam Mitchell, 229, Andrew Thorwall, 224, and Charlie Woods, 200, bowled the top games for Novi.
