Novi Girls Basketball Beats Canton in Kensington Tournament Semifinal
The girls next play John Glenn on Monday.

—Submitted by Matthew Kearney
The Novi varsity girls basketball team got a thrilling victory over the Canton Chiefs 37-35 in the Kensington Tournament Semifinal Thursday. The game was tight throughout, with the lead changing hands multiple times before the final buzzer.
This one truly did go right down to the wire, as it took a sibling connection as time expired to win it for the Cats. Senior Sam Pavlika had 5 points, and threw a baseball pass the length of the court to her younger sister Taylor Pavlika, who had 5 points on the night, none bigger than her layup as time expired to give the Wildcats the win!
