Novi Girls Basketball Gets Big Win Against Salem

The Wildcats are now 12-3.

The Novi Varsity Girls Basketball team got another big win in Central Division play over Salem 42-37 Tuesday night. Novi is now 12-3 (7-2 Central).

The Cats started slow but overcame a 10 point halftime deficit thanks to the play of sophomore point guard Kerri McMahan, who led Novi with 15 points. Senior guard Sam Pavlika followed close behind with 13, thanks to clutch free throw shooting down the stretch. Also scoring for Novi were Anna Lausch with 8 points and Jade Antolec with 6. Senior sharpshooter Bri Berberet had 19 points in the loss for Salem.

Novi will wrap up Central Division play with a home matchup Friday against Stevenson on Senior Night. That game tips off at 7 p.m., but come early to see the recognition of six hard working seniors who will be playing their final home Central Division game.
