Novi Girls Bowling Duo Places 2nd in Clarenceville Doubles Tournament

The varsity bowling teams participated in the Clarenceville Doubles Tournament Saturday with 30 girl teams and 32 boy teams taking part.

The field was reduced to the top 16 qualifiers for a two baker game, total pins roll off. Megan Engels and Evie Plaetinck qualified 15th and lost their first match by 18 pins to the No. 2 seed.

Sara Schulz and Callie Wright qualified 5th and went on to win three matches before losing in the finals to finish second. Schulz had a 10th-frame strike to win the first match by 11 pins, Wright scored 29 pins in the 10th frame of the second match to win by 2 pins, and the girls combined for a 247 game to wrap up the third match before losing 370-353 in the final match.
