Novi High School Students Win Scholastic Art Awards
Several students were recognized for their artwork.

Ten art students have received Southeastern Michigan Scholastic Art Awards, which is a regional art competition of The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, America’s largest, most prestigious art recognition and scholarship program honoring creative achievement by students nationwide in grades 7-12.
Southeastern Michigan region receives approximately 4,000 works of art and 300 portfolios from Wayne and Oakland County middle school and high school students to be adjudicated and selected for Certificates (third place), Silver (second place) and Gold Key (first place) Awards, American Vision Awards, and Best of Show Portfolios. Gold Key individual and Portfolio winners go on to the New York Competition for possible selection in the National Scholastics Art Show.
Approximately 1,000 works of art are displayed in this exhibit throughout all four levels of the Walter B. Ford II Building at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. The exhibition runs through March 2. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
