Novi Elementary School Principal Arraigned on 'Super Drunk' Charges
Kim Warren was arraigned in Novi Court on Tuesday on the charge of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 percent or more.

Deerfield Elementary School principal Kim Warren was arraigned April 29 on the charge of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 percent or more, commonly referred to as “High BAC” or “Super Drunk” legislation, according to a report from the Observer & Eccentric.
The newspaper also reported that Warren was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond with conditions.
Warren, who is currently using her sick days to be on paid leave from Novi Schools, was arrested under the suspicion of being intoxicated on school grounds in April.

The Novi Community Schools board of education will likely decide the future of Kim Warren's employment status with the district at its May 16 meeting, said Novi schools Superintendent Steve M. Matthews.
"The board [of education] will be asked to make a decision if she does not resign," Matthews said in a previous report.

The conditions of the bond include Warren submitting to random weekly testing and staying away from alcohol, according to the Observer & Eccentric.
