Novi Public Safety Departments Beat Providence Park Doctors in Charity Hockey Game

The Police & Fire Departments beat the doctors 6-5.

The team came out victorious in a close game against the doctors Saturday afternoon.

The two teams played in the second annual In a Heartbeat charity hockey game at Compuware Arena to raise awareness about heart health.

The Public Safety team (wearing red) led the doctors (in blue) 3-2 after the first period. The teams were tied 4-4 after the second period.

The Public Safety team scored two more goals to make the game 6-4, and the doctors scored one more on a penalty shot to make it a 6-5 game.

The doctors were unable to score another, however, and the police and firefighters grasped the win.
