Novi Woods Hosts Inaugural Cultural Night

The first culture night will present 13 different cultures that are represented in the school through different children.

From Novi Woods: This Thursday, Feb. 16, Novi Woods will host its inaugural Cultural Night, which will showcase the diverse identity of this elementary school community.

Guests are invited to experience a wide variety of countries by making crafts, trying on traditional clothing, playing games and tasting some yummy ethnic foods. The event will run from 6:30-8 p.m. In the cafeteria, from 6:30-7:15 p.m., there will be 13 countries on display with artifacts, crafts, activities, trifold boards, and free food samples. Children will have a passport which they can fill out in order to receive a raffle ticket.

Then, from 7:15-8 p.m., Novi Woods students will present a little bit of their cultural traditions on stage in the gym.
