Oakland County Man Found Dead In Apartment Swimming Pool: Police

WIXOM, MI — A 70-year-old man was found dead Thursday in an apartment swimming pool in Oakland County, according to police.

The incident happened at 7:20 p.m. Thursday inside the Bristol Square Apartment complex on Beck Road and Pontiac Trail in Wixom, according to police.

When officers arrived, they found the elderly man unresponsive at the bottom of the complex’s community pool, according to police.

Officials performed life-saving measures before taking him to Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital where he died, according to police.

No official cause of death was immediately given.

Officials did not release the man's name and were working to notify a relative, according to police.
