Oakland County Movie Theater Closes After 27 Years: Report
An Oakland County movie theater has closed, according to a report.
WALLED LAKE, MI — An Oakland County movie theater has closed, according to reports.
Regal Cinemas UA Commerce Township, which is located in Walled Lake just off of M-5, permanently closed last month after more than 27 years, according to a Detroit News report.
"Thank you! It has been our pleasure to serve you at this theatre. Regal Commerce Township is now closed," reads a note taped to the theater's front doors, the newspaper reported.

Regal, which is the second-largest theater chain in the U.S. (AMC), was one of two Regal theaters in Michigan. The other location is at the Lansing Mall in Lansing, according to its website.
