Popular Spicy Chicken Restaurant Opening New Oakland Co. Spot Saturday
The restaurant, which specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, is best known for its chicken sandwich with its famous house-made sauce.

NOVI, MI — A popular southern-style spicy chicken restaurant is opening a new location in Oakland County this Saturday.
Houston TX Hot Chicken, which specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, is opening a new restaurant at 43339 Crescent Blvd., at the Novi Town Center Saturday.
As part of the grand opening, the first 250 people in line will get complimentary food. Additionally, there will also be a $1,000 "Houston, We Have a Problem" Spice Challenge. The first person to finish three HWHAP (HHC’s spiciest level) tenders and a three-minute cool down period, meaning no liquid for three minutes straight, will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

The restaurant, also known as HHC, serves halal, organic, never frozen, antibiotic-free and hormone-free chicken.
The chain is best known for its signature chicken sandwich, which is served with its famous house sauce, or sauce of choice, on a brioche bun with fries, pickles and slaw.

Other notable menu favorites, include a Texas Caesar salad, chicken tenders, chicken tenders with slaw or waffles, fusion fries and milkshakes.
The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays through Thursday. The restaurant will be open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Houston TX Hot Chicken opened its first Michigan location earlier this year on Hall Road in Sterling Heights. The chain also plans to open a restaurant along Big Beaver Road in Troy by the end of the year, according to its website.
The chain also has locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Texas, Utah and Idaho.
