The Shamrock Prep Hockey Team won the the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association JV/Prep Division 1 Hockey State Championship at the Optimist Arena in Jackson on March 11.
The Shamrock Prep team defeated Canton JV 5-4 in OT, Traverse City JV 4-3 in OT, Mt. Clemens JV 5-3, and then advanced to the semifinals and beat Sault Ste. Marie JV 8-1.
The Shamrocks then advanced to the state final game against South Lyon Blue #1 and won 6-4. The Shamrocks were then crowned state champs of the MAHA Division 1 for JV/Prep hockey squads.
