Swimmer Goes Missing In Oakland County Lake During Storms: Reports

WALLED LAKE, MI — Officials are looking for a swimmer who went missing in Walled Lake on Wednesday night when heavy rain and thunderstorms moved into the area, according to multiple reports citing the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the swimmer disappeared after jumping into the lake for a swim while boating with two other people, reports said.

Dive teams searched for the swimmer into the nighttime hours Wednesday before the storms forced them to call off the search. They began searching again Thursday morning.

No information about the swimmer's identity was released by police.
