"There are various ways to get to know Fox Run. For many, the first step is attending a sales event, which offers an introductory glimpse into the community," Murphy says. "Others schedule a personalized information session and tour as a first visit. After that, many people join the Priority List, which offers additional perks."
In addition to saving their place in line for their preferred floor plan, Priority List members receive invitations to exclusive events, can sign up for the Live the Life program, and have access to planning and moving support.
Fun and insightful
"Throughout the year, we host anywhere from eight to ten Priority List events with the goal of helping people further their education about Fox Run--and have fun!" explains Murphy. "For example, we have a 'Meet the Docs' event, so prospective residents can understand the depth and breadth of the health care services we offer."
Barbecues, outdoor concerts, and other events help bring members together and provide a taste of the community's vibrant lifestyle.
Recently, Fox Run held a Ladies Tea featuring a panel of current residents who spoke about their accomplishments in a room decked out with teapots and doilies. Everyone enjoyed finger sandwiches and scones.
"Attendees raved about it," says Murphy. "Future residents are interested in forming connections and friendships before moving in, and these engaging events are a great opportunity to do so."
'Very impressed'
Dave recalls attending one event where he met Fox Run's executive team. "Another was all about food and addressed the chefs' offerings. A lot of people liked that one," he says, noting that Fox Run's restaurants--serving fresh, made-to-order meals--are quite impressive.
George and Shirley Zambiasi, who plan on moving to Fox Run this fall, have attended a variety of Priority List events as well.
"At a moving seminar, several people told us how to prepare your house for sale and decide what to keep or give to charity or to your children," says George. "I felt it was really important."
George says that his favorite event was the activities fair, which allowed Priority List members to talk with current residents about the many clubs, groups, and activities at the community.
"Residents had booths for their clubs. There were over 100 tables and booths!" says George. "I was very impressed."
Living the life
Dave, George, and Shirley also took advantage of the Live the Life program. Priority List members stay overnight in a furnished guest suite, enjoy complimentary meals with current residents, and participate in clubs that interest them.
"It's the best way to test-drive Fox Run's lifestyle before moving in," says Murphy.
Dave says he spent two, "very full days" doing activities, trying out restaurants, and meeting residents and staff. "They were all friendly and willing to answer my questions," he recalls.
George and Shirley spent their three days and two nights at Fox Run exploring activities and talking with residents.
While Shirley attended a lecture, George visited the on-campus TV studios that produce shows for the community's in-house channel. Together, they attended two exercise classes and a happy hour.
"I told George that this is where I want to spend the rest of my life because all the residents are so friendly and welcoming," says Shirley. "And there are so many activities!"
Come visit!
Dave, George, and Shirley have no doubt that the visits, tours, events, and dinners they attended before moving in made them feel right at home.
"If you're interested in gaining an inside look at Fox Run, I recommend joining the Priority List," says Murphy. "There are so many perks that can help you envision enjoying a vibrant, worry-free lifestyle here!"
