1. Grab Some Fresh Produce at Lake Orion Farmers' Market

Grab some fresh produce Wednesday at the Lake Orion Farmers' Market, 2-7 p.m.in downtown Lake Orion next to the Orion Art Center, 115 S. Anderson St., Lake Orion.

2. Lake Orion School District Taxpayers Can Attend Wednesday's Bond Forum

Still on the fence for the Aug. 6 bond vote or Lake Orion Community Schools? You can attend a forum on Wednesday, July 24, beginning at 10 a.m. at Orion Township Public Library, 825 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion. 

3. Take Your Kids to a Free Puppet Show

Come see the Orion Township Public Library's new puppet theater from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday. Librarians will perform a puppet show and have plenty of puppets on hand for kids to check out.

4. Hi-Yo! Celebrate the Lone Ranger at the Library

Fans of the Lone Ranger will have good reason to yell "Hi-yo, Silver! Away!" this month, as the Orion Township Library celebrates the legacy of the iconic TV series, which was remade this year into a film starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer.

While Depp and Hammer won't be around for this event, fans can catch a horse demonstration, mask decorating and a screening of two episodes of the classic series at the library from 10 a.m.-noon on July 27.

5. Catch a Ride to Tour Rochester Hills' Van Hoosen Farm Museum

End Time: 4:30 PM
Description: Catch a ride Friday to tour the Van Hoosen Farmhouse, the Red House, the Dairy Barn, and historic Stony Creek Village in Rochester Hills, including an old schoolhouse built in the 1840s.
