Deputies Interrupt Break-In, Recover Stolen Van in Orion Township
The following information was provided by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Orion Township Substation. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

While patrolling a commercial area after recent thefts, Orion Township's Oakland County Sheriff's deputies located a suspicious vehicle and interrupted a breaking and entering in process at the 4800 block of Joslyn Road, according to an incident report.
A police dog tracked a scent from the vehicle to a wooded area where deputies located additional stolen property that was then connected to stolen property in the van, including a generator and gas cans, the report indicated.Â
Deputies located a witness who also observed a man fleeing the area on foot. Further investigation revealed the owner of the van had reported her vehicle stolen in the city of Pontiac just hours after the deputies discovered the breaking and entering.Â
