Friends of the Library Holiday Home Tour returns Dec. 11
Five homes show off decorations; boutique at Van Hoosen site

When you’re planning your way through the upcoming holiday season, make sure your activity schedule includes one of Rochester’s oldest and best holiday attractions. The Friends of the Rochester Hills Library’s 2022 Holiday Home Tour is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, from noon- 5 p.m.
This year, the showcase of five area homes done up in high style for the holidays for all to visit and see, marks a return after being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19.
One more thing to take special note of: The tour’s popular Gift Boutique will be hosted at a very familiar sixth stop, Rochester Hills’ Van Hoosen Museum Dairy Barn. Holiday items of all sorts will help you fill out holiday gift lists; Cider and donut refreshments will be available at the barn for each person with a HHT ticket. And as one more perk, Holiday Home Tour-goers will also get free admission to the annual model train display in the Van Hoosen complex.

Friends President Ron Meegan said “We are very grateful to the homeowners who offered to keep this wonderful event alive for another year. Many local businesses and individuals have donated money to the Holiday Home Tour to help underwrite the cost of the event. The tour presents some truly singular design options and ideas and shouldn’t be missed by anyone who enjoys this time of the year. This has become a signature annual event for the area and we hope everyone will make room on their schedule this year to take in these seasonally decorated residences.”
Ticketing details will be available via the Friends link at the bottom of rhpl.org in October. But it is not too early to make sure your day is free to participate.
