Herb Tracker 2.1 Launches for iOS

App revolutionizing indoor gardening industry

Herb Tracker today announced the availability of the latest version of its indoor gardening application for iOS devices.

The app, which provides a cutting-edge solution for managing gardens in the medical cannabis and indoor garden industries, is an ideal strain solution for small to medium growers. Additionally, it is easily scalable for larger grows.

The app was created through a collaboration between Elevait Design and Portable Databases. Creators Kurt Buesching and Thomas Bassel, both renowned technology professionals, saw the need for an easy to navigate, comprehensive solution for tracking plants in an indoor environment. “Managing herbs and plants can be a complicated task as there are so many strains and varying requirements for a successful crop,” said Buesching. “We looked at what was available in the market and noticed a void for something that was simple to use yet also robust in available content. Herb Tracker solves that void”

The in-app upgrade offers virtually unlimited gardens with over 2,500 plants per garden. Nineteen non-cannabis herbs are pre-loaded in the app. For those in the legal cannabis arena, the Kannabase.com strain database can be seamlessly integrated with over 800 strains available.

Users can track notes on environment, plant dates, harvest dates, fertilization, water, as well as the ability to move plants between gardens while maintaining specific plant information. The app also includes the ability to back up and restore locally saved data. The launch has been met with rave reviews from users for its ease of use and e-mail customer support. “Avoiding unnecessary complications in managing plants is imperative. We understand that growers, especially on a smaller scale, need resources to make their jobs easier and more effective,” said Buesching.

The app is FREE and includes up to 2x2 squares per garden, and up to 2 gardens. It allows for 2 rooms or gardens – (ex. one for vegetation and one for bloom). This is ideal for small growers. For those looking for up to 50x50 squares and virtually unlimited gardens, an in-app purchase is available. From now until June 1, the upgrade is $1.00. At the close of the promotion the app price will return to its standard pricing at $6.99.

Standard subscription rates for the app include a one-time fee and ongoing e-mail support. The basic iOS version comes with 19 non-cannabis herbs pre-installed. The OSX comparable version is available for $13.99.

For those looking to add access to the Kannabase.com strain directory, there is a free version available incorporating up to 4 strains per user. Annual subscriptions for caregivers and commercial operations are also available for $4.99/year and $49.99/year. The app is currently only available for Apple products but expansion is planned.
