Lake Orion High School students lend a hand at Grace Centers of Hope
National Honor Society members volunteer to serve meals
PONTIAC, MI — A handful of Lake Orion High School students donated their time and effort Feb. 2 at a Pontiac-based nonprofit organization that helps people recover from homelessness and addiction.
The students — all members of the high school’s National Honor Society — helped arrange dinner and dessert at Grace Centers of Hope and hand-delivered the meals to women enrolled in a one-year life skills program.
The students — Dylan Verlinden, Addison Verlinden, Jimena Ochoa-Ruiz, Addison Dukus, Hadley Pearce and Aubrey Joshua — were accompanied by parent chaperones Tina Joshua and Stephanie Dukus.
