Bicyclist Hit, Killed By Box Truck In Metro Detroit: Police
The driver of the box truck stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
WESTLAND, MI — A bicyclist was hit and killed by a box truck Tuesday morning in Westland, police tell us.
The crash happened at 5:57 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Warren Road at Wayne Road, according to police.
The 25-year-old man was riding a bike across Warren Road at Wayne Road when a rented Penske truck turned left from Wayne onto Warren and hit the bicyclist, according to police.

Police said the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. Police did not immediately identify him.
