Canton's Biscuits & Gravy Draws Strong Reviews

A new Ford Road eatery has received mostly solid reviews from patrons.

CANTON, MI — Nothing fancy, just good food with generous portions and priced affordably. That seems to be the consensus among reviewers of “Biscuits and Gravy,” a new Canton restaurant.

Since opening about two months ago, the restaurant has garnered 49 reviews on Yelp.com and earned a four-out-of-five stars rating overall. Biscuits and Gravy is a breakfast-and-lunch-only eatery and located at 42126 Ford Road, just east of Lilley Road. It open every day from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

“Vera was our server and she was amazing. With Vera's recommendation, I ordered the Southwest Benedict and it did not disappoint!,” wrote Susan K. in an April 29 Yelp review. “Homemade chipotle hollandaise and chorizo sourced from a Mex Market in Eastern Market = SOLD! My husband got the Western omelette and he said that it was, by far, the best omelette he has had around town. (We've been everywhere, trust me.)”

All breakfast and lunch items are $10 or less. Speaking of lunch, diners will find a selection of burgers, melts, sandwiches and salads. Biscuits and Gravy always has chicken noodle soup handy as well as a soup of the day.

“Came to the grand opening on a Saturday morning,” Dawn B. of Westland wrote in a May 27 review. She gave the restaurant four out of five stars. “The food was delicious and unique. Pleasant atmosphere, family friendly. Food portions are HUGE!!!! Price is great. Tiramisu pancakes were very indulgent! They deliver on biscuits and gravy, they are excellent!”
