City of Plymouth Road Paving Program Nears Completion

Paving on Harvey, Adams streets expected to conclude this weekend.

The 2012 City of Plymouth Road Paving Program is nearing completion, according to a news release from the city.

Paving that was scheduled for Thursday saw delays because of the weather, the news release said. The city currently is anticipating paving crews to complete the final paving of Harvey Street and Adams Street today and Saturday, the news release said.

Restoration of the grass areas that were disturbed by the construction activity is ongoing, the news release said. Crews are working to install new topsoil and sod to the affected areas. The city indicated this work will continue over the next few weeks, but indicated that no work on restoration will occur over the next several days to allow paving crews to complete their work.

Drivers should anticipate significant truck traffic in the area of Harvey Street from Wing to the Sutherland over the next two days.

Those with questions about the paving program should contact the City of Plymouth Department of Municipal Services at dms@ci.plymouth.mi.us.
