Get Home Improvement Questions Answered
Inspectors from Canton's Building and Inspection Services Division will be at Home Depot to answer home remodeling questions June 3.

CANTON, MI — Inspectors from Canton's Building and Inspection Services Division will be at Home Depot, located at 39825 Ford Road, on Saturday, June 3 from 9am-3pm to help answer resident questions about home improvement projects.
As a homeowner, you will need to obtain a permit if you are building an addition such as a room or sunroom, making an alteration to your home such as windows, siding or basement remolding, if you're building a shed, detached garage or deck or if you're putting in a pool or installing a sprinkler system. You will also need to obtain a permit if you are adding or altering electrical, plumbing, heating or air conditioning.
On June 3, there will be Rental, Building, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC inspectors there to help answer resident questions one-on-one and they will come equipped with code books and permit applications. This session is free of charge and all residents interested in making their home safe and code compliant are encouraged to attend.
