Kids Movies, Rock Classics and More This Weekend

1. Canton Family Camp Out/Movie Night

  • When: Friday, July 19, 12 p.m.
  • Where: Heritage Park
  • What: Canton Leisure Services’ annual Family Camp Out/Movie Night weekend is back Friday and Saturday, June 19 through 20 at Heritage Park. And this year, Halloween's come early: We are screening Sony Pictures Animation's "Hotel Transylvania" after a round of "tent-or-treating." Campsites are $15.

2. Epic at the Penn Theatre

  • When: Friday, July 19 7 p.m. and 9:05 p.m.
  • Where: Penn Theatre, 760 Penn Ave.
  • What: A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world -- and ours.

3. Music In The Air: Gia Warner

  • When: Friday, July 19
  • Where: Kellogg Park
  • What: Rock Classics - Detroit Music Awards nominated Best Rock and Pop Vocalist 5 years in a row! Remember to stroll downtown to visit the dozens of shops and restaurants.

4. Baby Time at the Plymouth Library

  • When: Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m.
  • Where: Plymouth District Library, 223 S. Main St.
  • What: Lapsit storytime and BabyPlay are now combined for twice as much fun! Starting in September, the fifteen minutes of lapsit stories will be followed by a thirty minute playtime. This program is for babies ages 6 - 24 months old and their caregivers. Only the registered caregiver and baby may attend. No siblings, please. 

5. Michael Bush at Sean O'Callaghan's

  • When: Saturday, July 20, 9:30 p.m.
  • Where: Sean O'Callaghan's, 821 Penniman Ave.
  • What: Michael Bush will entertain at Sean O'Callaghan's on Saturday, July 20.
