Multiple Hurt In Canton 3-Car Crash: Police

Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

CANTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Multiple people were injured in a Friday three-car crash in Canton Township, according to police.

The crash happened at 12:13 p.m. in the area of Warren and Morton Taylor roads, according to police.

Police said a 66-year-old Canton woman was driving a white Ford Edge south on Morton Taylor when she struck a black Ford Explorer that was moving west on Warren.

The impact of the crash caused the Explorer to hit a blue Toyota Rav 4, which was stopped at the light, waiting to turn from eastbound Warren onto southbound Morton Taylor, according to police.

The Canton woman and the 67-year-old Westland man who was diving the Explorer were taken to a nearby hospital, according to police.

Three other people from the Explorer and the Edge were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, according to police.

It was unclear how severe the injuries were.
