Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile Coming To Metro Detroit This Weekend: Here's Where

METRO DETROIT — The famed Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is making multiple stops in metro Detroit this weekend.

The 27-foot long hot dog on wheels, which was originally built in 1936, will make its first stop Friday afternoon in Wayne County. Here is the full schedule of where you can see the "Wienermobile" next weekend in Michigan:

• Thursday, Dec. 19: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walmart at 29555 Plymouth Road in Livonia
• Friday, Dec. 20: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walmart at 7555 Telegraph Road in Taylor
• Sunday, Dec. 22: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Walmart at 14900 Dix Toledo Road in Southgate

The Wienermobile is driven by folks known as "hotdoggers" who hand out souvenirs to fans. There are six Wienermobiles traveling across the country at all times, according to Oscar Mayer.

The Wienermobiles are sophisticated vehicles, sporting V8 engines, 52-inch flat-screen TVs, removable "bun roofs" and hot dog-shaped dashboards.
