Congratulations to four of our P-CEP students headed to the MHSAA Wrestling State Championship. Giulian Bodiu, senior at Canton High School, Mallory Floreno, Drew Ward and Spencer Vos, all seniors at Plymouth High School, will compete for the state title in their individual weight classes. Giulian will be competing as a 1st seed heavyweight. Giulian is entering competition with a 25-0 record. He says heading to states "means all the hard work you put in is finally paying off." Mallory is competing for the fourth time in the state finals. The four-year starter on the boys team qualified for the individual girls state final with a sixth-place effort at her regional. Wrestling at 110, Mallory is Plymouth High School's first ever four-time state qualifier. She is looking to become the Wildcat's first ever four-time state placer, and possibly the first state champion. Drew is competing as a 4th seed in the 189 weight class. Drew says getting to complete at a state level accomplishes a big goal he set for himself for senior year. "I can't wait to go out there and wrestle one last time." Spencer is competing as a 2nd seed in the 215 weight class. Spencer hopes to come in higher than he placed at last year's state tournament. He says coming this far means he "embraced the grind and stayed focused through all the noise."
